Small retail shops that also ship online orders face a space problem. The back room holds overstock, cleaning supplies, and whatever else does not fit on the shop floor. Adding packaging equipment to that list feels impossible.
Most shops default to a bag of plastic bubble wrap behind the counter and wrap orders between customers. It works until it does not. Bubble wrap runs out, takes up shelf space, and looks improvised when the shop sells considered products.
The Aircosan YA20C is a 45cmwide paper bubble machine with a builtin automatic cutter. Its footprint is roughly that of a large printer, so it can sit on a backroom bench or on the floor next to a shelf. It runs on a standard 110V or 220V outlet at 200W, with no compressor and no special circuit.
The automatic cutter fits the rhythm of a retail day. You set the piece length and quantity on the touchscreen, press start, and the machine produces that amount and stops. A staff member can start a batch before serving a customer and come back to finished cushioning.
The 45cm width covers most shop shipping formats: small cartons, gift boxes, and standard parcels. For larger items, wider units exist, and we build up to 80cm at our factory.
Material handling is the biggest practical gain. Plastic void fill arrives in bulky bags. Kraft paper arrives on compact rolls. A single roll produces far more cushioning than an equivalent storage footprint of plastic.
One technical detail explains the low maintenance: no inflation, no heating, no sealing, no adhesive. The bubble structure comes from mechanical embossing rollers, and forming pressure adjusts automatically based on paper thickness.
