Every fulfilment operation has a category of order that does not fit the standard workflow. A gift set combining several products. A piece of framed artwork. A boxed item longer than the usual carton. These orders slow the line because the standard packaging approach does not cover them.
The usual workaround is two sheets overlapped, or wrapping the item twice. Both add time, and the seam in the middle of an overlapped wrap is where movement starts during transit.
The Aircosan YA40C is a 62cmwide paper bubble machine with a builtin automatic cutter, and the width changes this category of order. A 62cm sheet wraps a large or irregular item in one pass, which means no overlap, no seam, and no gap at the corners where damage usually begins.
The automatic cutter supports the workflow. You set the piece length and quantity on the touchscreen, press start, and the machine produces that amount and stops. When oversized orders arrive unpredictably, producing a batch of longer pieces quickly keeps the line moving.
Paper behaviour matters for irregular shapes. Paper cushioning conforms to the item rather than sitting flat against it, so an oddly shaped object stays in place inside the carton. Plastic bubble wrap tends to bridge across corners instead of following them.
Material usage improves as well. One wide sheet replaces two narrow ones, reducing both time per order and material consumed.
One technical detail explains the simplicity: no inflation, no heating, no sealing, no adhesive. The bubble structure comes from mechanical embossing rollers, and forming pressure adjusts automatically based on paper thickness. The YA40C accepts specialty kraft paper in the 70 to 140 gsm range.
