Most shredders require operators to separate boxes into single sheets before feeding. That step takes time on every box, and in a high-volume operation it adds up to hours across a week. The Aircosan P80 cardboard shredder removes that step. It has a cutting width of 55cm, a maximum cutting thickness of 20mm, and a speed of 15 m/min. A seven-layer box on the market is generally within 20mm total thickness, so the whole box can go in directly.
The effect is labor savings. Instead of flattening, separating, and feeding two or three sheets, the operator feeds the box once. For a warehouse handling hundreds of boxes a day, that changes the pace of the packing line. The machine runs at 15 m/min, fast enough to keep up without pushing the shaft beyond its design limits.
Aircosan is a factory with deep technical research and development capability. We build shredders up to 120cm cutting width, and the P80 uses the same heavy-duty cutter shaft and perforating head platform as our larger models. The cutter shaft is 40Cr steel, chosen for lower brittleness and stronger impact resistance than ordinary 45#.
The output is biodegradable packaging and degradable packing material, a practical alternative of plastic packing materials. It supports reuse cartons and turn waste into packing materials.
