Large-item packaging involves more steps than standard parcel packing. Materials need to be handled, positioned, and applied to bigger surfaces. Any additional handling steps multiply the time required per item, and for large items, those minutes add up quickly. Reducing handling steps directly improves productivity for oversized shipments.
The Aircosan P90 reduces material handling with wide-format capability. This unit processes sheets up to 90cm width without pre-cutting, eliminating the step of preparing cardboard before shredding. With 20mm thickness capacity and 12 meters per minute speed, it handles large sheets efficiently, converting them directly into protective material.
Aircosan builds this equipment in our own facility, also producing systems up to 120cm wide. The P90's wide-format design reflects engineering for real handling requirements. The feed system accepts full sheets without manual preparation, and the output material is ready for immediate use at packing stations.
For operations packaging large items, the P90 provides time savings. Each sheet no longer requires cutting to size before processing. Workers handle material once instead of multiple times-feed, produce, use. The reduction in steps directly reduces packaging time per item.
The unit also eliminates the waste generated by sheet preparation. Trimmed edges are no longer discarded, increasing material utilization and reducing disposal requirements. For facilities shipping large items regularly, the time and material savings from eliminating preparation steps can improve overall packaging efficiency. The P90 streamlines the process by reducing the number of steps between cardboard arrival and packing material application.
