Third-party fulfillment centers live on thin margins. Every cent spent on packaging material comes straight out of profit, and every square meter of floor space has to earn its keep. Most 3PL warehouses handle dozens of clients, each with different products and different packing requirements. That usually means stocking multiple types of filler: bubble wrap, air pillows, foam, and paper. It is expensive, it takes up space, and it is hard to forecast. The Aircosan HM50-M is a mini honeycomb paper making machine that simplifies this. It produces one versatile cushioning material on demand, from kraft paper, at the packing station.

Floor space is the first argument in favor of the machine. It measures 950x1150x1260mm, weighs 502kg net, and occupies just over 1 cubic meter. In a warehouse where every pallet position is planned, that is a manageable addition. Large honeycomb paper production lines need at least 6 cubic meters and only accept rolls over 1 meter wide, which is a poor fit for a multi-client operation. They also cost hundreds of thousands per unit, at least over 120,000. The HM50-M costs about one third of that, which makes it viable for a single fulfillment site rather than a central factory.

Power and operation are simple. 1.5kW at AC220V/50HZ, standard supply. One-button start, a pressure gauge that shows status clearly, and a panel grouping emergency switch, start/stop, main unit speed control, manual feed, and foot-pedal paper receiving. Pressure adapts automatically to paper thickness and can be adjusted manually, so packers can switch between paper types without downtime. That matters in a 3PL where staff rotate between client stations.

Reliability drives the cost case. The die service life is 1.0–1.3 million meters. The cutter shaft is precision alloy steel, CNC turned and ground, so die-cutting results stay stable through long continuous runs. The blade is cold-worked die steel, sharp and durable. Die-cutting speed is 5–18 m/min and adjustable, so you can push throughput during peak season and slow down for fragile items. For a fulfillment center running two shifts, predictable output means fewer delays.

Material cost is where the savings show up. Honeycomb paper is 100% plastic-free, biodegradable, and fully degradable, breaking down in 3–6 months versus over 500 years for plastic. It is 100% recyclable, while plastic recycling rates remain under 10%. For 3PL clients with sustainability requirements, it is a practical alternative of plastic packing materials. The 3D honeycomb structure disperses impact under load, protecting electronics, glass, ceramics, cosmetics, and mixed-category orders. The clean finish also improves how parcels look on arrival, which reflects on the brands using the service.

The machine supports virgin kraft paper and recycled paper, suitable paper ≤80gsm, paper roll length about 1700m, maximum unwind diameter 500mm. The PLC display supports multiple languages, useful in warehouses with diverse teams. It can be paired with a honeycomb paper dispenser to keep multiple packing stations supplied.

For third-party fulfillment centers, the HM50-M is a machine for small business that replaces several filler types with one paper roll. It supports eco friendly packaging and a sustainable packaging solution while cutting material and storage costs. Aircosan provides a dedicated 1-on-1 after-sales team.

If your warehouse is juggling five filler materials for twenty clients, this is a simpler way to run it.
