Labor time is one of the least visible costs in packaging. Nobody puts it on a spreadsheet, but it shows up every day. Someone has to open a bag of air pillows, pull out a sheet of bubble wrap, cut it to size, and tape it around a product. Multiply that by a hundred orders and it becomes a real number. The Aircosan HM50-M is a mini honeycomb paper making machine that attacks this problem directly. Instead of pre-made fillers that need handling and cutting, it produces honeycomb cushioning at the packing bench, on demand, in the size and shape the packer needs.

The effect on workflow is immediate. A packer presses one button, honeycomb paper comes out, and it goes straight into the box. There is no bag to open, no roll to unroll, no scissors, no tape. One-button start, a pressure gauge that shows status clearly, and a panel grouping emergency switch, start/stop, main unit speed control, manual feed, and foot-pedal paper receiving keep the process simple. Pressure adapts automatically to paper thickness and can be adjusted by hand, so switching paper types does not mean re-tuning settings. New staff learn it in a single shift, which matters in operations with seasonal hires.

The machine itself is built for a packing bench. It measures 950x1150x1260mm, weighs 502kg net, and takes up just over 1 cubic meter. That fits next to the packer, not in a separate production room, which is the whole point. If the machine is far from the bench, you have added a walking step to every order. Large honeycomb paper production lines need at least 6 cubic meters and only accept rolls over 1 meter wide, which forces a different layout. They also cost hundreds of thousands per unit, at least over 120,000. The HM50-M costs about one third of that.

Reliability keeps the time savings real. The die service life is 1.0–1.3 million meters. The cutter shaft is precision alloy steel, CNC turned and ground, so die-cutting results stay stable over long runs. The blade is cold-worked die steel, sharp and durable. Die-cutting speed is 5–18 m/min and adjustable, so packers can speed up during peak hours and slow down for fragile items. Power is 1.5kW at AC220V/50HZ, standard socket.

The material effect supports the labor effect. Honeycomb paper is 100% plastic-free, biodegradable, and fully degradable, breaking down in 3–6 months versus over 500 years for plastic. It is 100% recyclable, while plastic recycling rates remain under 10%. It is a practical alternative of plastic packaging, so switching reduces both handling time and waste.

The machine supports virgin kraft paper and recycled paper, suitable paper ≤80gsm, paper roll length about 1700m, maximum unwind diameter 500mm. The PLC display supports multiple languages, useful in diverse teams. It can be paired with a honeycomb paper dispenser to keep the bench supplied without interruption.

For e-commerce operations and fulfillment teams, the HM50-M is a machine for small business that removes several manual steps from every order. It supports eco friendly packaging and a sustainable packaging solution while giving packers back time. Aircosan provides a dedicated 1-on-1 after-sales team.

If your packers spend more time opening bags than packing boxes, this is where the time goes back.
